Anyone else on here have one?

If so, have you ever used Hornady's 300 gr XTP loads?

Having a pig problem in rough brushy terrain and this seems like a good combo.

I have one of the old pre warning versions from back in the day that I've never fired. I'm not sure what the Twist is so I couldn't comment on what would shoot best. I was always partial to the 240's with my 44 mags

Mine's second year production when they were still tube fed. Will probably go with the 240XTP. Hornady's site shows production being suspended on the 300 and I dont have time to reload.

Have only shot it a couple times. Was fun to shoot. Working 6 10s doesn't leave much time for fun.

If you want to have some fun hand it to someone who thinks you are handing them a 10/22.

I have one and had sighted it in using the 300 gr XTP's. I don't have any targets to post up as I haven't shot this gun in years, but it shot great with those rounds. I remember 1 big ragged hole when shooting at a 50 yard indoor range. Should be a great set up for your bacon problem.

I'm not certain how extensive the problem is. My brother lives there but hasn't been able to patrol the back 2/3 of the property for several years due to health issues. I get down about every month and a half but haven't walked the property because I'm fixing whatever broke since the last trip or working on the house we are building.

We don't normally allow hunting (except immediate family) but are allowing one of the guys helping with construction to take a deer. When my brother and the guy went to scout they found pig sh@# everywhere.

Have any of you pig hunters had any luck getting them used to coming to a deer feeder?

They love corn. I run pigs with dogs here in Louisiana and south Arkansas. They will try to knock the feeder over if you have a timed feeder going off. They love soured corn even corn soaked with diesel fuel deer won't eat it but the pigs still will

O PS I use a Ruger Redhawk with 240gr jhps and they are bad medicine on them taken many a pig with several not so well placed shots and they crumble when it touches em.
