Hey guys, Just wanted to get some input on a trigger issue I have encountered. Its a Ruger M77 MKII Target rifle with the 2 stage trigger. Its my friends rifle and just picked it up today. Tore her down to clean all the old grease and dirt out, but when I torqued the action screws to 40 inch pounds the trigger is heavy not nearly as light when we first got the rifle. So I played with the trigger guard screws and if i barley put tension on the screws the trigger will act fine. If I snug it up its heavy as a anvil. As a note when I pull the trigger with the action torqued I can here a spring crunching? I know their is two springs on the trigger. But some knowledge will go a long ways for me to locate and resolve the issue. Thank you guys... Have a great day!

you can put "dikem??"(not sure of spelling) on the trigger and then assemble it into the stock and torque it down to your standard ft/lbs and see where it is contacting if it is. relieve that area and it should work fine. i had a rifle that had the same issue and this solved the problem.
