Ruger Mark IV question

I have a Gemtech suppressed upper for my Mark III. Does anyone know offhand if the Gemtech upper will work on the the new Mark IV?

From the images and descriptions I've seen of the Mk IV, your Mk III upper will not work on the Mk IV. You'll notice that the upper of the new Mk IV hinges at the front of the frame; something the Mk III cannot do. There are other changes to the upper and the frame that preclude moving parts from older versions to the Mk IV. That is annoying, I know.

That is a bit disappointing. I still love the way the Mark III shoots, just don't like breaking it down. Thanks for the info.

Yeah the newest ruger mark IV is sweet they really fixed the biggest complaint people had about that pistol series.
