Hello I am thinking about rebareling my ruger 338 Lapua to a 300 Norma mag with a 28 inch match grade with a break I have found a couple barel manufactures that will make me one will it work

I added a 32" 300 Norma barrel to my 338 Lapua RPR. There is a picture in the 338 RPR thread in the ELR section.

The standard RPR barrel nut wrenches won't work because the threaded portion of the nut ahead of the AR15 splines is larger. I bored a Brownell's AR15 wrench to clear and it worked slick.
The Ruger barrel tenon is 1.2", so you'll need a barrel vise that works with that size. I used a standard 1.25" barrel blank, so the inside of the Ruger hand guard nut needed to be bored larger. There was lots of material left when I was done and it'd still work with the Ruger barrel.
I'm pretty sure the usual players will be making barrels and tools available for the big RPR shortly.
