I pick my Ruger Scout up this week. I did speak with the guys at the Ruger booth in Reno this week at the SCI Convention.

They are planning a left handed version and the five round magazine is already available directly from the Ruger parts department.

The LH version is easy, they can make a few changes to the CNC stock making maching and drop in a LH action. The Ruger rep's know if they build them, people will buy them.

I will be mounting a Trijicon 3-9x40mm Accupoint in Larue's 1" extended base (turned around). The scope will be just forward of the rear sight, right where I want it.

Be all-end all rifle? No, I will still shoot my five Blaser R93's, but for under a grand, it's a good truck gun. After a freefloat and glass bedding job, it should shoot at 1MOA with good ammo. Should someone steal my truck, I'm only out $1300 or so with scope and magazines, unlike $3.5k + to replace one of my R93's...
