The supposedly the ship was destroyed and the Russians stated that they didn't think the pirates survived. LOL

I say good job!

I like how the whole boarding team has a long gun.... something the CG could take some notes on.... zero freakin tolerance to pirates.

Looks like the "Captain" got a little mouthy and caught a round in the leg.... just let his ass bleed out on deck... no biggie. It also sounds like some yelling and another shot fired around 1:15.

Before there was an 'International Court', INTERPOL, or even a basic nation coalition there were ways pirates were dealt with.
The boats were scuttled when a naval vessel caught it. If it was caught by private enterprise, it was scuttled if in poor condition or kept and towed to port as trophy for barter or auction. The result for the pirate though? Always, hung from the yardarms, then dropped into the sea.
Piracy should be dealt with ruthlessly. If one does not have the stomach to do so, then one should not be dealing with pirates.
This is of course a strong distinguishment from the other's who flew the Jolly Rogers and such who also flew the naval jack or ensign from the gunwhales of their ships as Privateers for nations like US or England.
As to the scurvy pirates who terrorrize coastal Africa, kill 'em all, and send them to Davy Jone's Locker. Ask not, nor grant quarter

It looks like the Turks are lucky that they don't happen to live any closer the Russians than they already do.

Well, that, and lucky for Palestinian terrorists that they yet again chose to tempt only the Israelis, who are willing to risk the lives of their sons to board with paintball guns and slung rifles in order to provide the crews with an all-expenses-paid safe voyage back to their homelands.

As of 1988, the unit cost of a MK48 (ADCAP) is $3,500,000, a bit of an economic trade off I find difficult to justify to macerate a few skinnies and send them to meet Neptune.

I think a few high velocity API punctures along the waterline would be adequate, followed by released oil and an incendiary ordnance expenditure to ignite the oil slick and clean the environment back up.

The solution needs to be cost effective, folks...; we can't be going about expending tens of millions of dollars of our own precious national wealth simply because some countries don't fund their own coast guard.

A missed opportunity...

the ship could have been towed to the Gulf, scuttled over the bleeding oil well head and sinking Skinnies could have helped plug the hole. What a waste of resources.
