RWS Gunsmithing??

Re: RWS Gunsmithing??

I've shot 3 differnt rifles made by RWS and all were very well made and had great attention to detail. It because of that that I currently have a rifle at his shop right now.

Re: RWS Gunsmithing??

One of the most important things about a gunsmith to me, after their ability to build a quality rifle,is their business ethic. I've seen too many gunsmiths that suck at communication, response, timeliness and support.

I've never used Robert to build one of my rifles (I have a couple local guys that are really good and are so close it doesn't make sense to ship my stuff 'cross country

) , but based on my experiences from him as a vendor, I wouldn't hesitate in the least.

Re: RWS Gunsmithing??

I had a Remington 700 in a AICS stock with a Mike Rock barrel that was an absolute hammer. The only reason I sold it was I am switching everything over to left handed vice a right. Everyone who shot that rifle commented on how accurate it was.

Re: RWS Gunsmithing??

+1000 for RWS. He is building a Rem Model 7 for one of my friends right now. I have bought some scopes from him and he has threaded a barrel and made me two thread protectors. I hope to get some money put together so he can build a rifle for me. He has been great to deal with. I can't wait for my friends rifle to come in so we can work up some loads and take it for a walk. It is a Mod 7 with a 24",1-8 twist Brux barrel and a Manners stock. I will post some pics when we get it. Back on topic... Deal with confidence. When he's finished with what you send him, it will be right, or he'll not send it out.
