I am working up a load for a match where i wont be picking up my brass as the shooting is going to be movement oriented so i decided to some brass to determine which was better brass to sacrifice it did not turn out like i thought it would

i dont normally go all benchrest nerd when doing brass prep but i was amazed at the consistency of the S&B..... im going to be letting the hornady fly off into the grass.....

Here’s something to derail your theory:

I have S&B brass that weighs 171 grains. Different lot. So if you mix lots you’ll end up with a large weight spread.

Hornady has two different case head types. If you stainless tumble this becomes readily apparent. One is heavier than the other. So if you mix lots, you’ll end up with a large weight spread.

If you keep them separate then both can be very consistent.

I loaded up the s&b brass it loaded fine great neck tension, only loading issue was primer pockets seemed to have a tight spot halfway but did not cause any loading issues, shot great didn't have any issues, I'm running 22" ballistic advantage barrel on an aero ar308 build
