Ordered S&B 5-25-56 PMII LP CM MTR with Horus H59 reticle; option for elevation is clockwise OR counterclockwise. NF and Leupold are counterclockwise yet standard S&B are clockwise; would like some input...

What does it matter what the military uses? Get what YOU like, not something "because the military uses it". The military is not the master of "best" for everybody.

Input on what? They offer both CW and CCW. Just another option. Get what you want.

To answer your question, the S&B military scopes are CCW.

Re: S&B clockwise or counterclockwise turrets?

Its really all preference. I got CCW on my schimdt because as Rob01 pointed out, the military uses CCW and I'm getting a mil-spec M40A3. To be honest, you'll adapt to whichever you get so its not a huge deal.

+1 for the CCW because its "tacticool"

Mixing cw and ccw can be a real pain!

If you have some Nf scopes I'd keep everything the same. </div></div>

are nf ccw?

Yes.

Re: S&B clockwise or counterclockwise turrets?

+1 CCW that seems to be the standard "american" preference with cw being a European preference, s&b is a European company which might explain why they are offering cw standard. This is just what I've heard / been told.

If won't really matter all that much as you will not be using your knobs much with a Horus except where the conditions change or you change loads.
