I just purchased a Schmidt and bender 3-27x56 Tremor 3 reticle. When I cranked up the illumination even in the dark I can barely see it on the highest setting... has anyone else had problems with their illuminated Schmidt and bender reticles.

Yes I have a 5-25x56 PSR with the Tremor 2 reticle and I was told that is the way it is supposed to operate because it is designed for military use using NV equipment the lower settings can only be seen through NV.
I appreciate the reply.... I’ll have to try through my PVS -30 I haven’t done that yet .

There's a thread on it somewhere but if the reticle was turned up to what we normally would expect it would wash out the target. Jerry at S&B changed the rheostat on his personal scope with (if I remember correctly a H59 reticle) and indicated it became unusable with the stronger illumination and had to change it back. I had called about the relatively dim power of the illumination and he indicated that he would/could change it for me but shared his experience and advised against it.

That is really good to know and very enlightning thank you so much! I was sick about it when I first took a look at the reticle illuminated. The fact that there is the option to turn up the rheostat is awesome I didn’t think I would use the illumination that much but I wanted to make sure my scope wasn’t malfunctioning . Again I appreciate all your input friends !
