Rifle Scopes S&B Military MKII scope

I picked up a new S&B 4-16x50 PMII. The box has a sticker of 3344 on it indicating it is the AI turreted military mkII. Does anyone know the history of these models? I read somewhere that it was 30 mm?? The reticle has the mildot with ranging bars.

It also appears to have a sunshade built in as the objective looks longer than usual.

Any info would be helpful.

only the 10x42mm had a 30mm tube. MK II is a PM II with laser filter,extended objective - sunshade and AI knobs.
