Rifle Scopes S&B PMII 4-16x50 single rotation turret

Re: S&B PMII 4-16x50 single rotation turret

Have owned both the 4-16x50 and x42 with the single turn knobs. No problems with either. Why do you ask?

Re: S&B PMII 4-16x50 single rotation turret

No functional problems so far with my 4-16x42.

Only minor personal gripe I have is that, compared to my older 3-12x50, the clicks don't feel or sound as positive.

And...why have S&B now switched to a "EU Standard" 2 year warranty?

But it works fine

What's your experience OP?

Re: S&B PMII 4-16x50 single rotation turret

I just picked one up from a friend of mine. There is nothing wrong with the scope just wondering if anyone had ran into any. Is the clarity on the new S&Bs better than a couple years ago?

Re: S&B PMII 4-16x50 single rotation turret

I have a few year old MKll 4-16x50 mine is clear and crisp. I have heard people say the MKll is not a clear. But I have no complaint about mine. I really like the scope. I have a hensoldt also. I would say the glass is on par with the hensoldt. But that's me others may disagree.

Re: S&B PMII 4-16x50 single rotation turret

Hunting pard and I got two of the very first 4-16x50 PMIIs when they first became available in 2000.
Every season they go in 50 yard increments from 300 out to 700 and have never let us down.
Neither one has ever needed service.
The single turn knob is bomb proof.
I have a current 5-25x56 PMII and the only advantage it has, if you want to call it that, is that it has more power.
Optically it gives up nothing.
Anyone who says it does,is full of shit.

Re: S&B PMII 4-16x50 single rotation turret

I have a 7 year old PMII 3-12x50 and a three month old PMII 4-16x42.

Just looking out the back window out to 200-300yds (grey, overcast late afternoon) and comparing at like to like magnification the 3-12 is lighter (no surprises there, it's got a bigger objective).

Resolution? No discernible difference to my eyes.

Re: S&B PMII 4-16x50 single rotation turret

And the 5-25 adjusts parallax down to 10 meters.

As mentioned they are excellent scopes no matter the model. Been using S&B since 2006 to shoot tactical matches and they never let me down. Have used and tested many other scopes prior and since and none have given me the reliability and usability of the S&B.

Re: S&B PMII 4-16x50 single rotation turret

Great, thanks. I have ordered some seekins rings and when they come in I will get to do some testing of my own. I have a NF F1 3-15x50, I can tell a small bit of difference in image quality being that the S&B is crisper, but yet to take the S&B out to truly test. Love the P4f retical!
