Well I had to try one.
Picked a performance center m41 up today and mounted a 2.5moa SRO on it (thanks to Jason at EO).
I cleaned it up and was going to give it a quick 500rd break-in. However the rain squalls made me cut it short. I shot 400 rounds of CCI plastic box Std. velocity. and I am extremely impressed. Off the hood of my truck I was getting around 1" groups at 25 yards. I tried throwing my ATACR on for accuracy testing but it was just a little too long. I'll try with different rings later.

I didn't want to like it as much as I do, but it is night and day better then my browing buckmark.

After 400rds I had 2 failure to feed, 2 fte and 3 fail to fire. The ones that didn't fire must have been ammo since they had good firing pin strikes.

She's a beut Clark.....thinking about getting one myself...

Thanks. I need to look for a shorter mount if available. The tall sights are suppose to be to co-witness but the sro is too high.

Not gonna lie, they are a sick ride. Here’s mine with a Clark threaded upper, a Spectre 2, and a Trijicon RMR.

The new Performance Center Model 41 is really beautiful. I owned two original Model 41's over the years but traded them off. I found that I could shoot the .22 Colt Match Target more accurately. I am happy that Smith and Colt are bringing back the old world quality. I have two 6 1/2" Match Targets. A couple months ago Numrich Arm's was selling new Colt Match Target 4 1/2 " barrels. I had the idea to get couple so that I would have convertible pistols. Well , when I showed up at my gunsmith's door, he said barrels had to be hand fitted and could not be easily changed. It is not like a Smith Model 48 that you can easily change barrels. I am only writing this so someone doesn't make the same dumb mistake that I made. The good news is that Numrich let me return the barrels.

I have a 1972 5" in mint condition I bought used from a older gentleman on Rimfire Central who was clearing out his collection. It's gorgeous! It's hard to find a smoother cycling pistol. My wife loves to shoot it over the Ruger Mk 3- 4's

Very nice S&W 41. Seeing your pictures reminds me of the one that I had. The S&W 41 trigger was amazing and by far one of the best I have felt in a production gun.

Have a ‘60’s era in 5”, then purchased an earlier 7” slide, they’re great pistols👍🏻
