Re: COLT AR-15 in .357 sig cal.????

Well, from this point on, don't take anything you hear at that supply store with much more than a grain of salt........maybe not even that.

The only calibers Colt has, is, and may ever offer their platform in is 5.56 and 9mm. Colt is VERY stuck in their ways and won't be doing anything from their tried and true. They are primarily concerned with their military contracts. Frankly, I am absolutely amazed they re-introduced the the 10mm Delta Elite for the civilian market. It only took them 15 years or more to figure out that pistol is a very hot commodity and may be worth making more.

It should give you a hint that Colt doesn't even have a .40 S&W AR variant. That would be more logical than .357 Sig for LEO.

If you are interested in a .357 Sig AR, I'm sure it can be or has been done. I know Olympic has 9mm, 40, 10mm, and .45. I can't say I really understand why you would want to put a pistol round into a rifle it wasn't meant for and sacrifice power AND reliability.
