Shooters,

I just finished up another build I figured I would share with you guys. I'm very happy with the Manners stocks I have been getting. They are pretty solid and feel great. All the inletting has been pretty spot on and final finish is excellent.

These Defiance Machine actions are very nice. The extraction is the smoothest I have felt. The surface finish on the metal is exceptional, the side bolt release looks very clean, the bolt gets 100% full contact and the bolt lift is extremely easy. Other features are standard on the 911 action such as.

Double pinned scope base with (6) 8x40 base screws
Double pinned recoil lug
UGSK's ejection port
UGSK's bolt knob

Here are the specs.

-Mike Bush's Under Ground Skunk Works 911 Stand Alone S/A, Guardian Mag well, UGSK bolt knob, 20 MOA Double pinned base, double pinned recoil lug.

-Rock Creek 1-8.5 M40, threaded 5/8 x 24, custom thread protector and Randy Cain's Rapid Brake.

-Manners MCS-T4A, OD Green, Surgeon Bottom Metal, BT-17 rail. Stock was fully bedded.

All metal was finished in Cerakote Graphite Black.


Barrel was broken in, and (2) 5-shot groups were fired to test function. Accuracy for the 2 groups was in the .3" range with Factory Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor ammo with 140 Gr A-Max.

Thanks guys, I have been really digging the 6.5 Creedmoor. It seems to just shoot like a dream. I like the shorter OAL of the loaded ammo, it feeds great and is becoming more available.

I will start to chrono these builds as it warms up.

My Creedmoor has been great. 139's going 2800fps out of a 25" barrel w/o beating the brass up, and crazy accurate. What's not to love?

Very clean, simple and good looking ride. After my 308 comes in from Mike I might have to look into something this. The Creedmoor is quite interesting to me as an alternate varmint getter.

That thing is nice!I just got a 6.5 Creedmoor built as well and it is deadly accurate.I will say it is more recoil than I was expecting but very managable.As long as I got my hat on and the butler creek caps on the scope, shooting one handed the scope cap hits my hat to just keep it from kissing my head.But mine only weighs 8.5 with optics on it and that is shooting 142 SMK with 40gr of R17.Great caliber though.

I'm planning on building myself a nice .284 when the parts come in. Only problem is that I will have to make sure everybody's rifles are done before hand.....

I guess I just need to wait in line like everybody else

That is a nice rifle. Really like the setup from action to stock. I have wanted to get a custom rifle some day when funds allow it. Really think I'd like to do it in a Defiance Action. I hear great things about them.
