Maggie’s Sad, my GE Americana died.

Sad to see it die, installed in 1964 and continuously ran until this week our GE Americana refrigerator stopped working
after over 60 years. Have not diagnosed what the issue is but I will probably try to repair it.
Compressor comes on but it does not cool.

I had a Kitchen-Aid refrigerator that lasted over 25 years, but the house I bought already had a GE, It still does.

If I ever need to replace the GE, I know I won't be getting one of those IOT type of fridges. I definitely do not want it telling me, "You need to buy more this/that, etc.)." Totally creepy!

I lost this family member a couple years ago after 55ish years of service.

My parents bought it some time in the late 60's, sort of a whole matching set. Trash can, sink, stove, oven, portable dishwasher and fridge. You can see the dishwasher and trash can in the background, me, Pebbles and mom in the foreground.

When I told me dad it finally died he jokingly said "Well if I knew it was only going to last 60 years I never would have bought the damn thing! "

I have all the equipment, just not here. Its either R12 or R22.
