Sadlak scope mount on M1A

Something to kill time while waiting on a barrel and stock for a new bolt gun. Got the mount in today and put an old VariX III on it.

Ummm will any part of your face even touch the stock when looking through the scope? I would need to grow 5 more chins to even get a chinweld.

Cheek weld is a problem when scoping the M1A. You have to add a cheek pad of some sort.

There are mounts that are lower than the Sadlak but they can suffer ejection issues.

I'm working on a GI stock with a mod similar to this.

In the mean time I suffer with this strap on raiser.

Let us know if it holds zero. So many of those mounts will not hold....

Sadlak mounts are good to go. Most problems come from out of spec receivers or user mistake when installing.
