Safety issue with dented 175gr M118 tips

Hi, good day to everyone. I'm new to the forum and would like to apologize if this thread/topic is not where it should be.

I would just like to get some opinions regarding a problem I have. I've been reloading for some time now but its my first time reloading for rifles.

I came across some dented 175 SMK tips and would like to know if they are still safe to use. Preferably in a 16" 300whisper AR15 with a suppressor attached. Worried about baffle strikes.

If they wern't safe they wouldn't be selling them as safe to do so, lawer's love gun company ka-boom's.
The mark's are from the pull down machine collet's when they grip them.

Anyone have experience with these & whether accuracy is affected by pulldown marks compared to new 175 gr SMK's?

Unless you plan on using them for a bench rest match, I wouldnt worry about it.

I don't shoot supressed guns but rifling leaves more damage on a round than the marks from a collet puller. If you find one that is really deformed pass on it.

180 yards pulled and sized AP projectiles used to fireform my brass to .50 DTC. Pulled can be plenty accurate.

This question was scientifically investigated several decades back and soundly put to rest. It takes a surprisingly large amount of bullet tip deformation to seriously affect accuracy.

Can't speak about suppressors, I have no knowledge in that area.
