I have been having trouble getting good answers on what to do. I am attempting to mount a US optics sn3 1.8-10x44 on an m1a in a sage mod 1 chassis. Currently I was planning to use a larue lt-608 and us optics high rings but I am worried the scope may be too high to get a good cheek weld using the highest magpul cheek riser(#3, 3/4"). I was told that the high rings (1.25") would be the shortest I could get away with using this set up. Anyone have any insight?

the obvious answer would be to wait until I receive the scope and measure but I am having us optics color match the scope and rings to my rifle stock. So I need to decide ahead of time.

Thank you

Re: sage ebr optics mounting ?s

I have the mod 1 chassis, it uses an ar buffer tube extension and a magpul ctr stock. I am beat for the awesome adjustability that the mod 0 stock offers. You guys should actually have the top rail of my sage stock right now :), I sent it in for color matching.

example: mod 1

also this is the mount I will be using: mod 1 w/ larue lt-608

not my rifle but pretty much the same set up, minus the can(im in PRNJ

Thank you for the reply

It looks like the Sadlak mount that I am using might be a touch lower. I did have to mill off the underside of the mount to clear the forward rail on the chassis. If you are going to use that LaRue, try to find the lowest rings you possibly can.

Re: sage ebr optics mounting ?s

I don't think you need high rings for this setup, especially with a 44mm objective. I have a 50mm objective on my M1a, with low rings on a sadlak mount. Besides, H2O man is using just about the same setup at you want, and he is using the same low rings as me.

Thank ýou both. Looks like ill be needing to call up US0 and change the rings on my order to lows

.I'll post the obligitory pics in 4-5 months when I get my glass...

Thanks again

Re: sage ebr optics mounting ?s

If that is going to match better then yes. I wasn't sure what the finish was. It appears to be a grayish tan, that kind of flip flops based on its surroundings. I could give sage a call and try to get some info out of them. Also, is it too late to change my mind about the BDC, I think I will be better off without it.

Thanks
