I've been debating on wether to build or buy a new 7mm and I ended up going with a sako 85 finnlight and I was wondering if anyone had any input on the ring base set up. The scope is a 30mm leupold and my main goal is light weight.
I went with a low Talley set-up on my Sako Hunter with the QD release. not much out there for Sako's. 50 mil. objective gives me about 3/16 clearance to the barrel and seems light enough for me
with the Sako rings you have the plastic kimble that adjust for any mis alignment
no mark on the scope and I had them on my sako trg s in 416 remington and never a problem
they have a quick detach also.....
being 2 piece you buy the base and choose the rings height to go with your scope...
