Rifle Scopes Sako l691 scope mounting issue with nightforce 2.5-10x40

Im helping out a buddy who is going on safari next month. He got a sako l691 in 416 remington. We ordered a nightforce 2.5-10x42 because he was gonna stick it on his ar-15 when he got back and probably sell the sako. The smith he sent it to for install of a brake and everything else is using tally quick detach rings and bases. Well the tube is to short on the nightforce to work on this long action gun. At this point we can send it back and get a 3.5-15x50 nsx (that should work right) or is there another option here. Its gotta work for both situations. A couple weeks in africa and the rest of his life on a yote killing ar he dont want a 1x4 power. Thanks to all

Here's a link to a European vendor that makes rails that will mount on the L691, Roedale Precision. No idea how quickly they can get it to the US. I purchased one in the past but it did take several months before it was ready and at my door. Mounted up just as advertised when I did finally get it.

These may be an option SAKO Tactical 1913 Picatinny Bases

I used a pair a few years ago to mount a older Zeiss 1.5-6x42mm in Badger Alloy rings on a Sako AV long action in .375 H&H for a friend. It worked fine for his African Hunt BTW
