Sako TRG 22 bipod problem

Can anyone out there that’s familiar with Sako TRG’s help me out?
I purchased a TRG in 6.5 off of someone from this site last year. I haven used it much. I purchased a Sako bipod and attached it. When I removed it the piece in the picture below fell out with it. It’s obvious to me that it’s the clip/piece that is to lock the bipod in once installed. Seems to me that it should be attached to the stock somewhere but I can’t figure how or where. I also cannot find anything in the manual referencing that piece. I have to turn the gun upside down, slide that piece in and very carefully try and get the bipod slid in without bumping that piece. Once I get it in it stays locked but I’m sorry to say it is the loosest sloppiest piece of shit. Not the bipod which in itself is rather sloppy but the fit into the front of the stock. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks.

I totally agree with you and I can see how the hole is machined out for a screw but there’s no threads in the hole.
Take a look at the pic of another gun
( green and black close up) and the pick of mine. Correct me if I’m wrong but that piece that looks like a sling attachment is missing and it looks as if it goes underneath the barrel and would be what I’d need to attach that to. No?

This.
The thread is in the mounting plate for the sling, or you could use the ITRS.

remove the forearm, you will probably see how it attaches via a screw that’s has fallen out
Pretty sure I answered my own question.
Figures 22 or 23 are missing on mine along with the hardware in figure 21. Next question. Where to buy?
