How many rounds do you have through your barrel?

I have around 1500 on mine and was wondering how long the Hammer forged barrels are lasting.

Thanks

i am not sure about the 260 but I read today that the 300 WM can be shoot out with as little as 1,500 rounds of hot reloads. it also depends on how the barrel is cleaned and allowed to cool. I think it would help to know the loads used, etc.

I would not expect to see any more rounds with a hammer forged barrel than a button or cut rifled barrel. I know the idea is that you "work harden" the metal but I don't think it is significant enough to matter. I say this b/c I shot out my 308 TRG with 4600ish rounds, in the last 1000 rounds the throat moved 0.100". But that is a sample rate of 1...

I have about 850 through mine. I bore scoped it recently and the bore still looks pretty good. The throat has moved back about .020" and there is some fire cracking, but nothing unusual. Accuracy is still as good as ever.

Finbox, how is yours holding up after 1500?

Partners 260 has ~2700 rounds on it. Its slowed down from ~2825fps to ~2750, but still shoots great, as in bug holes @ 200 yards. Doesn't look pretty in the borescope, quite a bit of fire cracking both in the grooves and on the lands, down the bore 8-10".

This is his match rifle, shot with Lapua brass, with 43.0gr H4350 + 142smk.

Thanks. Good to know. I should still get at least another two years out of mine before I need to rebarrel.

post link to this 300 barrel burn, i was north of 2500 with more hot string's (and rounds) of fire then i care to admit, and it still shoot better then the driver.
yes it looked horrible and lost about 75-100fps but it was still shooting very well.
