Anyone here had any experience w/ a "Fat Bastard" muzzle brake on a Sako TRG-42 .338 Lapua? Looking for something other than Sako brake..........

I was wondering how that rifle would be on recoil with how light it is. The fat bastard I put on the Barrett 98b I had tamed the recoil a lot compared to the factory brake.

The recoil on a 42 with a Near brake is very light. The fat bastard is a proven brake and I suspect it should tame the recoil just as well. I have a video of a shot with mine but cannot attach it on this site because the file extension is .mov and won't transfer. If you want to see it, PM me and I will text it to you

I’ve got Area 419’s magnum break on the way for my 42 in 338. I’m on the road right now and won’t be able to shoot it until this next weekend. I’ll post my experience afterwards if you’d like

I have an Elite Iron brake and suppressor mount for a TRG42, but never ended up getting the rifle... The ports are very similar to the .50 brake they made for me that works well, and both are similar, almost identical, to the McMillan brake, with the 3 leaf clover looking ports.
