sirhr: are the second gen folders for sale as an accessory? i am offered a first gen folder new for 2000.00.what do you think? i think they retail for 2800.00 hill 300

boy wish I ran into that deal I would jump on it I looking at the 338 lupua sako they are most aways in stock up here but high list non folder 308 3600.00

For me, the Sako folding stock shoulders better than the fixed stock.

It adds a good deal of weight over the standard fixed stock.

If you have multiple TRG rifles it may make sense to have ONE folding stock to swap around, it is definitely expensive.

Hi Hill. For $2K new, buy it fast. Don't worry about aftermarket Gen 2. The stock is less important than the action. You can use a bag or get used to the pogo stick. If you don't buy it, send me the link and I'll gladly buy it as a backup.

Oh and I don't know if the 2nd Gen stock is available as an accessory. But if you can get a fixed for a good deal, the folder is nice, but not worth the premium, IMHO. I like mine, but got it for a smokin LEO discount. If I were paying list, I would be perfectly happy with a fixed stock.
