Hi Everyone,

How did they move the factory bipod forward?
I am wondering if the fore-end extension is an additional part of ITRS Rail.

I guess this rail is no longer produced.

New Rail is a model like the picture below, I wonder if it is possible to move this model Rail and Bipod foot forward than the handguard. Because Scope will rub on raril.
I need your experience and opinions...

The backbone on the first image is an extended one, which was offered as an upgrade at one time. Not sure on current status. Also, if I've understood correctly, the ITRS in the first picture is the newer one. The one extending more backwards is an older model which lacked the forward-over-barrel portion which could come in contact with the older, more wider bipod. Sako has produced at least two other configurations of ITRS rails in addition to these, but I haven't seen them for sale anywhere.

OK so
The ITRS in the first picture (part number something like S5740649ITRS) includes a new backbone for the chassis.

The second shorter one is sold by itself to fit the existing trg chassis backbone.
Only options I can think of are krg spigot.

you will need this to use the Sako bipod.

Or something like a S&B ultrashort if you still need an optic.

JEPN Thanks,

upgrade at one time. They wrote that the entire backbone on this link is suitable for "TRG 22" Can it fit 42?

The product in the second picture is for sale on the official site. If it is old, I don't understand why they want to sell

(Sorry for my lousy english)

The extended backbone is/was available for 22s and 42s. They are however a different product because of the action length difference, so a kit for a 22 won't fit a 42.

As for the beretta site, they might have remaining stock on the "old" model, wrong picture or some other reason for having it on stock. The old and new ITRS should have the same bolt pattern so you're able to install either of them on an existing 22/42 backbone.

So, if you have a 42 with a ITRS and a scope interfering with it, I see that you have a couple of options:
- Use a higher scope mount
- Change to a shorter scope
- Mill a slot to the back of the ITRS to make room for the scope bell
- Find an extended backbone for a 42 (or the whole ITRS kit) from some vendor
- Or use the KRG spigot mentioned previously

Edit: And they have been selling the ITRS and the backbone as separate parts and as a kit including both as linked previously.

Who makes that adapter on the bottom picture?
