The potential slow barrel shouldn’t be an issue. My 260 shot great right up until I pulled the barrel around 2500 rounds. It was still shooting 1/2” groups, but I had a feeling it was time to re-barrel due to velocity loss.

I was down 50-100 FPS from my go to load. I had been getting. 2750 with 142 SMKs and 43g H4350. However I didn’t start getting good chrono data until I had about 1200-1500 down the pipe. So I didn’t have a good reference point.

With KRG’s off the shelf barrel and nut setup available the barrel thing is non issue. Shoot out the factory barrel and get a new one. My new 260 barrel from KRG is shooting great.

I’ve heard SAKO and Tikka use the same barrel before, I have a 24” Tikka Tac A1 6.5 now but have thought about getting a TRG 6.5 and was curious if the 26” barrel made a huge difference. My 130’s run 2765fps and my 140’s run 2718fps.

I got my wife a Sako TRG in .308 for Christmas and its more accurate than either of us lol. We both can constantly shoot sub MOA groups with it, using 168 & 175 FGMM.

I'd venture a guess, that a TRG in 6.5CM would be a hammer.

I picked up a 260 TRG from Eurooptic several years ago. Generally if my groups are more than 1/2 MOA, it's on me. I've had a few days, no bullshit that are 1/4 MOA. The trigger is a work of art. Reload Lapua brass, H4350, CCI primers and 142 smk's about .020 off the lands.
