I have been following here for years, but never had much to say. I have a trg 22 with NXS 8-32 scope on it, and finally got out to the 300 yard range near me (have been stuck at 100 yds too long). I shot with bipod and prone, with no rear rest. I am a good shot, but not a great shot. After sighting in, shot this 0.75" group (4 shots). maybe next time i will remember to shoot 5! that is really impressive to me for a factory rifle, with federal gold 168 match loads. (The trg loves that load, doesnt group as well with black hills or hornady unfortunately.) Also, the sako TRG bipod is so much better in design than the others I have on my other rifles.

Three cheers for the Sako TRG from me! especially great since I paid about $1300 new for it before everything went crazy a few years ago... I love the fit an function so much I just bought another (for a lot more money) and am having it done in 260 remington just for fun!

After a few more shots, mirage off the barrel at high power became too much, and my next group spread out. now thinking about a mirage strap, although not sure exactly where to attach it. I shoot at high mag on the scope since I am shooting paper only.

I also shot my custom built (by me) savage target in 6mm br. It did not group as well from the benchrest, which has been a consistent problem. (1MOA groups at best). the action and krieger barrel was set up for me by a well known smith, but I did the bedding and scope mounting. I am pretty handy, but not sure what is wrong with that package, or is the TRG just that great? I have been getting 1 MOA + groups from the 6mm br, using lapua factory loads, which I know is not right.
