Sako TRG-S Mag compatibility

I currently have a TRG-S (M995) in a 7RM. Ordered a 28" Bartlein barrel for it in 300WM. Question, if I ever get a wild hair and order a .338 Lapua barrel, I know I"ll need a the Super mag bolt but will the mags work? Thanks.

Check your owner's manual. I bet these two magazines are different part numbers

Yep, different part number. $114 at Brownells.

The mags won't work but you may be able to mod the TRG mag to work. The M995 mag has a catch in the front while the TRG mag has a cutout at the rear of the mag. You may be able to cut a notch in the front of a TRG mag, but I kind of doubt it will work.
