New to forum.... Im fixin up a Rem 700P and Im to the Bipod... Cant get any of my shooting buddies to agree on this topic... If most of my shooting will be done from a bench at my local range should I bipod or sandbag ... ???
I use both, but - for me - I find the sand bags a better choice. You can't "load" on them like a bipod (and there is no reason to), but the sand bags provide sligthly better stability for me.
Use both. Bipods are fine for most shooting. Bags work better on uneven or angled surfaces. Also you might want to try shooting off a backpack as well. Would make a good range bag.
