Sasse (R) NE Fucking Nails It!

Ben did an outstanding job and hopefully his message will make the rounds on social media. Every concerned Man, Woman, and Child should listen to that well thought out rant. At least the judge seemed to pay attention and I hope he remembers this after his xanax amd champagne fueled confirmation party this weekend.

Every once in awhile one of the congress critters surprises you by actually being a really decent person who knows their stuff & understands the constitution & the law.

Too bad we don't have more of them. If we had more like Sasse, we might actually have a working government that did it's job.

Us normal folk have to be knowledgeable about our jobs and be proficient in them.
Would it be too much to ask or require a working proficiency of our laws before a person could run for office?
Should be mandatory

yep he is a POS deep stater, although I generally support people leaving the D and R, he is just another never trumper but said nothing when Obama had the FBI investigating all kids of reporters, he is a ball less POS that should be treated as such.

I don't think it should be limited to running for office.
IMO, they should scrap the BS social studies classes in high school and go back to teaching civics.
If the average person knew what the government was and wasn't supposed to do, most of this garbage wouldn't happen.
With that said, I'd fully support a civics test before someone was allowed to vote.
