New here to snipers hide. Just picked up my 10 ba 308. Set it up with viper pst and some decent rings I had that fit it perfect as far as scope height. Sighted in at 100 yards I only have 4.5 mils of elevation left. I'm not a fan of the heavy huge base that came on the rifle, but can't find a base for the 10 ba. I'm looking for atleast a 30 moa base, but would like 40 moa. Any suggestions on where to find a base the fit the 10 ba?

Something is jacked up, throwing money at it for another base most likely won't rectify your problem. You're only going to have a little over 10 mils most likely after a 40MOA base. Do you have another rifle you could out the scope on to at least eliminate that possibility first? Another scope you could put on the rifle to check it?

I agree something is not right. I believe the BA rail is already 20 MOA so you won't be gaining much. Unless there is something wrong with the factory base or the way it was mounted you need to figure out what is wrong

Nothing is wrong. Pulled it off my 700 with 20 moa base. It was fine on that rifle. The 10 ba comes with a zero moa base. It's the 110 ba that comes with the 20 moa base. The base is mounted just fine. Cleaned and torqued down with lock tite. The rifle is holding pretty good groups. Just need more adjustment so I can shoot out to range for hunting.

No zero stop on the pst, just some shims that stop it close to Zero. Which sucks in low light hunting conditions. But I figure a 40 moa rail will give me 11.1 mils of vertical adjustment more than I have now. 40 divided by 3.6 should give me about 11 mils. Which is plenty for what I'm doing. Anyone else make one for the 10 ba in 40 moa?
