The Savage short mags use a control round feed.
BUT:
To convert a standard setup would require milling an extra slot in the receiver for the ejector as it is held in place by the trigger mounting pin.
And change the bolt head - here is where I see a problem - to my knowledge, they don't make a CRF bolt head for 308. If you knew a machinist - maybe he could adapt or modify.
