I recently purchased a Savage 110 ba in .300 win. mag. (would of loved to have gone for the .338 but I want to be able to afford to feed it) to break into long range shooting. I plan on upgrading the scope but for now I have a Trijicon 2.5-10 x 56 with a cheap set of rings (a set from Rock River I had on an AR, yes I know that's bad and plan on fixing that) I just got the barrel broken in and now I'm trying to get the scope 0'ed. This thing is all over the place. I know the rings are part of the problem but also thing the cheap ammo. (Federal 180gr. basic ammo.) I had left over from breaking in the barrel is also part of the problem. Any suggestions on ammo. to try? I would hate to thing of all the $ I will spend chasing down one that the gun likes to run. (I know I should load my own but that is not possible now) I would love to try some better ammo. choices and see if I can calm this thing down then move onto the more expensive changes.
Anything is helpful.
Thanks
