Savage 110 BA at one mile

Re: Savage 110 BA at one mile

great post. Lots of ass kicking going on with the savage 110 in 338 Lapua mag. I imagine that is going to become the standard... if its not already.

Thanks for the kind words.

It actually was a two camera shoot.
I had one setup 300 yds. from the steel off to the right zoomed
in. It picked up the hits and audio decently.

The second camera was an OTS (over the shoulder) shot(s) giving
the viewer a look from my perspective 1760 yds. away.

In post I cut in the target cam a few seconds before the shot
was fired trying to show the actual bullet flight time.

It was only my second time shooting/filming this distance. I learned a lot.
Should of had more B-Roll as well. The next one will be better.

Best.

Re: Savage 110 BA at one mile

Hey Mark Great Shooting! I have already watched the video 3 times hahaha. I was just wondering what scope and rings you have and did you have more adjustment left over after dialing in to 1760? And my final question what bipod are you using? I have the 110BA, got it about 18 months ago and have not done anything else with it. I need to get the ball rolling and just need help picking this stuff out. Thank you for your time.

Re: Savage 110 BA at one mile

hey that was cool. Great vid.

One of the guys from ZZ Top came walking up to a table I was sitting at outside a RE agency I use. There are some outside tables with umbrellas so it looks a bit like an outdoor cafe...especially when we sit outside with a beer. :)) He came walking up and ask where the bar was located. We laughed and gave him a beer. The guy is a skeleton, probably weighs 120 wet. He wears a black leather jacket in 100 degree Houston heat. I see him around town a lot in book stores and other places....weird dude....very nice though.

Re: Savage 110 BA at one mile

Love that video! Thank you for posting it. A 110 BA is in my future. I can shoot out to a mile right out my front door. I just have to buy the weapon system that will reach it.
