Savage 110 BA Bolt Knob question

Hello all,

I had a question for those of you having experience with the Savage 110 BA 300 Win Mag platform. The photo's ive seen around Snipers Hide show the 110 BA with a larger tactical bolt knob vs what is shown on the Savage website.

I've noticed on the Savage website that the bolt knob type is now a more rounded version than what i'm seeing around the web from owners.

Has Savage updated the bolt/knob on the 110's?

Interesting.

All I have is a Savage 10 FCP-K. It comes with the rounded bolt handle and Savage refers to it as "Oversized bolt handle".

I bought a 110 BA handle from Midwayusa and it is the big tactical knob shown in your second picture.

All of the BA's that I have seen at Cabelas are the big knurled 110 BA handle. I always assumed that these were just BA handles.

I thought it was interesting as it caught my eye on their webpage. All the 300 WinMags and 338's i've seen have the large tac looking knobs vs the rounded ones shown on Savage.

I'll likely give them a call Monday unless someone here has some more info.

I'm sure they all come with the larger knob simply because that is all that I have ever seen on those rifles.

My .338 has the second photo. I think the first page ony the 10 BA(.308) has the ball.

Just wanted to say, the "tactical" knob is worth it. Very cool. Easy to use. Factory fit and finish is a benefit.
