Savage 110ba

Re: Savage 110ba

Havent shot one, but fondled a few. They seem nice. My savage 10 shot great, so i am sure this would be similar. That it comes with a DBM already is a nice perk.

Don't honestly care for the feel too much, but that is all preference. Trigger was nice typical savage too.

maybe handle one if you can?

Re: Savage 110ba

Talked to one of the US F/TR guys who's using the rifle with the Berger hybrids. Said he's getting 6-10" groups at 1000 yds. He wasn't terribly impressed. I am.

I'm just working up loads at the moment, and haven't fine-tuned anything yet. Shot 8 different loads yesterday, using N570, Winchester magnum primers, new Lapua brass and 300 SMK set with about a 0.015 jump. Went from 88.5 grains to 92.0 grains in 0.5 gr increments. No pressure signs right up to 92.0. None.

Last 3 rounds were a 91.0, 91.5, and 92.0, and they grouped on the same vertical plane, but had a 0.83 lateral spread, two of the holes touching. The third was undoubtedly me.

I'm betting with the right loads it pretty much a 1/2 MOA rifle.
