Hi fellas, for those shooting the above rifle and shooting the Berger 3oo grain Hybrid, are you just single round loading due to COAL not fitting tin the 3.850" magazine.

If you are loading via the magazine are you getting good results with the berger? for a COAL set for the magazine how much off the lands are you?

Thanks

Re: Savage 110FCP HS and 300 Grain Berger Hybrids

I have the BA110, but for me I was not happy with the Bergers from the mag. I worked a load with them touching the lands. Then did a seating depth test, on them from touching down to .030 jumping in .005 incraments. In my Savage they were very jump sensative. However my partner shoots them from the mag of his Remmy no prob. I would say if you don't mind single feeding, starting with them touching and working down in seating depth will give more flexibility in your load/one more fine tuning adjustment to play with. If you don't want to single feed, work a load @ mag length and see if it will work for you. Every rifle is different. Good luck, have fun, I had a blast with my savage, and the big Lapua is a Awsome round.

Thanks, I sure wish the 300 Sierra had just a bit better G7. but I will try the Berger single and from the mag.
