I am debating between these two for my next varmint rifle (22-250) and am wondering if anyone has had any good/bad experiences with either to share. A friend has the VSSF II and it shoots lights out, but I have heard great things about the BVSS. The Savage LRPV is also in consideration, but I don't like its solid bottom receiver instead of the internal box mag. Let me know if you have any experience with these and your opinions

I really like the Savage. I bought one of the BVSS's when they first came out with the Accutriger BUT Savage keeps changing things and that makes it tough for the aftermarket guys.
If you are never going to change out anything on it like a DBM go with the Savage and put more money towards glass. If you might want to add something, like we all do I would go with the Remington.
Either way you are going to get a rifle that will shoot very well.

To my knowledge the Remington is still using a 1-14 twist, which is fine if you don't ever plan to go over 55 grains. The savage comes in a 1-12 I believe and the VLP (you didn't list this model but pretty similar to the BVSS) can come in a 1-9 which is good for the amazing 69smk and in some cases the 75amax. Either the Remmy or the Savage would shoot lights out I'm sure.

Thanks for the input. Glass will be a PST. And ramrod I wouldn't mind a 12 twist for groundhogs and predators, would give me more options than just the 55vmax I was planning on trying
