I have been offered a good deal($100.00 under dealer cost)
on a Savage model 25 light varmint, with a laminated thumbhole stock and accu-trigger in .204 Ruger, NIB. Has anybody had any experience with one? I thought it might be fun for varmint, plinking. If it was in .223, I would jump on it without hesitation, cause they are 1-9 twist, and I caould sell it easier if I didn't like it.But, Ive neve messed with a 204. Any thoughts?

I have a savage 12 in 204. On the first day of ladder testing it put 5 rounds into 0.24"

My buddy shot a 3/8" group@ 200d last summer with it. I shot 26s over 4400 fps and the 40s at 3850. If you get it send me a PM and ill compile my load data for you.

The 25 is based on their rim fire action so if you want to upgrade it sometime down the road you can't. If you are looking at keeping it factory they are pretty decent rifles and shoot well. 204 has its pros and cons but they work great on little varmints.
