Savage 93R17 .17 HMR

Any opinions on this? Just looking for something cheap and fun to shoot. Found one for a good price. Love to get some feed back on this little gun. Thanks

My dad bought one a while back and it is a hoot to shoot. That little fast bullet packs a punch for no larger than it it. We were shooting bricks with it and it definitely blew them apart better than the 22 did. As for the Savage, I have never met one I didn't like.

I have a savage model93 in 17hmr.

They are great little guns you really cant go wrong with them.

They take small game easily.

Wind is the only adversary you will face when using this round, however if the wind is almost non-existant, you are laughing.

My last range trip, just for laughs, i was pinging the steel gong at 300yards... wind was significant but i quickly learnt my hold over. A great little caliber you can easily take bunnies with at 200.

I picked one up today. Cabelas has them on sale and in their add. It is an OD green Cabelas edition I'll post pics tomorrow. Here is the link on cabelas

Why do they come with muzzle brakes?
