Figured I'd post some pictures and thoughts of the Accurate Mag DBM for my Savage FCP .308, I picked it up in the group buy.

The fit was great, nice and tight in the H&S stock without any modifications but one thing to note was that my factory Savage DBM screws weren't long enough to reach the receiver.
I ended up picking up a couple of Hex head screws at my local Coast to Coast store, filed them down and cut them to length to work. Not a big issue but would of been nice to have had them supplied with the DBM.

Fits all of my AICS mags nicely and it will be great to have one set of mags for both my .308's.
I've run 40 rounds though it without a hitch so function is excellent also so far.

Through the GB it was $136 shipped and that's a threaded R&D brake.

Re: Savage Accurate Mag DBM

You're rifle looks great, I'm digging the digi duracoat too!! The accurate mag system looks like it fits pretty well in the stock savage inlet. Do you know if this system will work on the Savages that have the bolt release in front of the trigger guard?

Also, nice muzzel brake. Did you have to have a smith install it? I just ask because I bought my Savage specifically because it had a threaded barrel and I could screw a brake on until I get a suppressor but yet all the brakes I like that look like yours say smith installation required! It looks like you just screw it on until it's tight and then lock down the screw so I don't understand why a smith is needed?

You don't need a smith to time your brake. Installed a RWS brake I bought here on the hide. Timed brake by using sand paper and a flat board. If you take your time it works out great. Used a fine sharpening stone to finish up.
