Does anyone know where I can get replacement action screws that are actually long enough to go flush within the action. Cranking em down they're still a ways down in the action. Can't be good for consistent bedding, having only a few threads holding it in.

Thanks

Re: Savage action screws

brownells or savage directly. i think brownells has trim to fit i think...

Re: Savage action screws

they're 1/4 x 28tpi. not hard to find at a decent fastener shop. just get long ones and cut 'em to fit

Re: Savage action screws

Brownell's does have them. I bought a set a couple months ago.

Re: Savage action screws

Thanks guys, but I could have saved every ones time if I would have looked at the screws again.
For some reason I was thinking they were tapered on the bottom, but they're just a regular pan head.

Once again wish I would've looked sooner, could of picked em up when I was at Ace today. Guess I'll be headed back tomorrow.

McMaster is great use em all the time.

Thanks anyways
