After a shipping-delay and small headache with the dbm order, a couple other bumps in the road, finally got things put together.
Savage model 12 LRP 6.5 creedmoor, choate stock, accurate-mag dbm, AI and AM mags. Found out right away that the dbm doesn't fit in the choate stock inlet. The reason I went with this one was because I was told it would fit 90% of the stocks out there, figured I wouldn't have to mess with shipping the stock out, inletting, and all that. I'm almost certain it would fit in the HS stock that came with the rifle.

Traced the outline of the factory piece onto the accurate bm for comparison,

considered taking the do-it-yourself route by just modifying the metal instead of messing with the stock. Turns out, a machinist friend I know said he could inlet the stock... cost twenty bucks. Just cut flush from the front flat area all the way back, can't find the before pic, but here is the after.

Got that done, then found that the longer supplied screws that came with the dbm weren't long enough. Ordered some 1.8" action screws from savage and cut off one of the remaining long screws to use in the foward most hold (1.21")

Had to also widen the trigger guard channel, maybe a 1/16" each side, used the old trigger guard with sandpaper wrapped around, back and forth..

End result:

Magazine lock-up isn't as tight as I thought it should be, but it feeds perfect with all the mags tried so far. Might cut the release lever down shorter..

As far as the rifle goes, 42gr H4350 w/140 amax', 2820fps, nice 5rnd groups so far with reloads right now, surprisingly well for a factory barrel, scope = 4-16 pst ffp. Just installed a rifle basix sav-2 trigger, have yet to run it with that at the range.

Nice stick.
While I actually like the choate tactical stock, it was a serious downgrade from the HS Precision (unless you were looking to add weight).
How does it do with the factory loads?
Also, that barrel looks a bit heftier than the vamint contour. Can you tell if it is?

I didn't care much for the HS stock with the smaller grip area, guess I coulda wrapped it, the choate will get me by until an AICS is available for savages, ...maybe someday?
Not sure how much aluminum is inside the plastic, but if the stock is as strong as it is heavy, it should be tough as nails.
Oredered some factory ammo, wanted to see how it did with those, but they sent 120's instead of 140's so I sent them back and just ordered components to roll my own.
As far as the barrel, it's a pig, 1.01" at the muzzle, with the lightweight HS stock it felt extra muzzle heavy, with the choate its heavier but balanced, 16.4lbs as pictured.

a few quick group pics,16x ffp scope, bipod/bag, have yet to try and find ocw:
