I've only seen it in OD but some stores have their own deals or limited runs of products. You might have gotten one of those. Can you post pics of it?

Nah I understand, that's a fantastic deal! I think mine cost 420 exactly through my FFL after taxes and shipping and that stuff. I wish I had been more patient and searched around a bit more, but I bet you'll discover you love this new rifle alot

Was it at Dicks sporting goods? That is the only place I have seen tan, heard it was a "dicks exclusive" but I kinda doubt it. Good deal, caught mine on sale friday for $369 +tax for a grand total of 399.59 otd. I hate the tan but figured it would be a good candidate for my first try at "GAP" camo.

Nice. Hope it shoots well for you. Mine will set for a while. Was not ready to buy it, but not sure if I would ever see it cheaper.
Paint the stock, thread the barrel, and find some decent glass. I can see this one going in my pocket quickly.

It was/is a deal at Dick's, I picked a couple up that were part of a package deal with a cheapo scope right at $400.00. After sending them both back to Savage they shoot pretty good.

I bought one for $400 from Dick's also. Mine shoots 2-3" at 50 yards and will soon be on its way back to Savage. In effect I bought two Savages, my first and last.

Don't let us get you down, there have been MANY people here that have purchased the TR and been very happy with them from the start, I'm just not one of those. My brother and I picked both picked up one from Dick's about a year ago and they both had the same problem. (Unable to zero due to receiver being drilled off center) Sent them back, mine took about two and half weeks, my brothers took about a month. Good news is after getting them back they both shoot well. We got them for comp shoots at our local range where they didn't want us using our Annie's any more while trying to avoid an equipment race and get new shooters involved at a reasonable cost. They’re competitive in the $500.00 and under range and a lot of fun to shoot.

$350 is the cheapest i have seen yet on a TR. I got quoted $428 dollar from my local dealer today.
