FYI - I have a savage 10FCP in addition to my TR. When I put my FCP together I replaced the trigger spring with a lighter one.
WHen I bought my TR s few weeks ago it didnt come with the trigger adjustment tool but I had one from my FCP. I went to get it and noticed the origial trigger spring from my FCP was about 2.5 coils shorter than the one in my TR so I switched it out. Before the switch I could only get my TR trigger down to 2lbs 6oz. After putting in the spring from my FCP its at a very crisp 1lb 1oz.
So fo r those of you not comfortable or that dont have the tools to alter your original TR spring you might want to call savage and get a trigger spring for a model 10 centerfire and switch it out.
