Gunsmithing Savage model 10 head space

I've shot this 20" rifle with factory Fed. G.M. 168gr. and 175gr. I've noticed some flat primers not terrible but still. All brass fits into shell holders after fired, never had an issue. The rifle is accurate no problems there. I load 2.800 on my loads. 46.0 gr CFE 175. My Caldwell chronograph says they are running 2752 fps. average. Factory Federal G.M. 175 2740 fps. I'm pretty confident in the chronograph due to my .223, 243 and 45 acp loads fps. It bothers me about the velocities and some mild flat primers of the factory ammo. Any help appreciated and thanks in advance.

Federal brass is thick.
It also tends to suffer from inconsistent weights.
You will hit pressure signs with federal brass before remington, winchester etc...
Are you getting flat primers on the factory loads?
Slight flattening is nothing to worry about.
Buy some starline brass, use the same load.
FWIW, FGMM 175's are loaded with IMR 4064

Accuracy isn't bad for a stock rifle. Thanks for the info.
