How does the XLR deal with the bottom bolt release?
Also I picked up a 24" 10TR recently...care to share what ammo and/or recipes your rifle likes?
The XLR chassis moves the bottom bolt release to the right side of the trigger guard. It is actually kind of odd to actuate and takes me two hands now instead of one, but I also found the factory format very cumbersome. I will say, that if you want a folder you need to make sure you get one of their new XLR mechanisms, the ACE folder that used to be shipped is garbage and has a slight amount of play due to its design.

Poor ACE folder design leaves room for slight movement in stock when slight pressure is applied.
It has not proven to be an issue when I am shooting, but it is just annoying.
I have done minimal load development with this rifle due to the extremely cold weather we have had lately.
Here are the loads I have tested to date:
As you will see in my load testing here I had 1 shot in each group that was the wrong load. This was due to me not marking my target prior to shooting and I forgot my rotation on the target after my first shots for each group.
This testing was done round robin style with 2 minutes between each shot @ 100 yards from a Harris Bipod and Tab Gear rear bag. Groups were measured with calipers zeroed to .308"
This was a quick 1 minuted timed fire group at 300y for a quick reference to accuracy with a little more distance behind it. As you can see there was a flyer and I called it verbally with my spotter who also quickly asked what happened. This pic is a little goofy, I measured it with my calipers without knowing they weren't zeroed when I wrote the data down.

Next outing I will be doing more testing with 43-44 grains of Varget and extending my ranges to 550y to test with accuracy at distance. So far all three of my Savage 10 TR shoot well, this is the only one I have done load testing for. The others have been fed 175 FGMM and SSA 175 SMK and I have been able to tell no difference between the two as far as accuracy out to 550 yards. I will say that the SSA seems to be pushing slightly faster, but nothing majorly notable.
