Savage model 11 Trophy Predator Hunter Detachable Box Mag System

With the SnyderMags magazines, you don't have to change anything about the stock to use it. Tom is a great guy too!

I know z71rat has a lot of savage experience,.i would take his recommendation into serious consideration

Also, I had one of.....if not THE first ptg stealth bottom metals for a savage short action.....that was sent to manners and I got the very first manners stock using the new ptg stealth dbm when it came out.

When comparing the Ptg stealth to cdi.....the ptg wins hands down. It's WAY beefier and also sticks out beyond stock so you could ram it against a barricade, window etc...WITHOUT exerting force on the magazine.

I'm in a very honest, no B.S. state of mind right now so I'll say this......between dealing with ptg and manners......what a nightmare. Tom made it right in the end.......but I'm rocking an AI 2.0 folding chassis right now and have ZERO regrets.

With all that said......i would go one of two ways if I were in your shoes.....keep your factory stock and go the Snydermags route or just get a chassis and rock cheap magpul mags or pricier metal AI style mags......i would not mess around with PTG or CDI on a factory stock

Thanks Longshot, If I go with a Boyd's stock and the PTG Stealth bottom, I could use magpul mags?

I honestly don't know, I ran Accurate Mag 10 round mags but those had fitment issues with 10 rounds and I could only run 9 due to bulging, worked fine other than that and my legit AI 5 round mag worked fine

I would seriously think about getting an AI chassis here

If you've never had a chassis you don't realize how awesome having a folder setup along with all the other modular features

That is an absolute "YES" on the MagPul 10's and 5's. That is the exact bottom metal that is in my wife's rifle, and it functions great. I on the other hand, (like Longshot) have gone the way of the chassis as well. I have been through many different stocks from various manufacturers, as well as various chassis. I have "finally" settled on the MDT ESS Chassis system. Can't hardly wait to get my rifle put back together with that chassis system. Super smooth, super adjustable, and flawless function!!
