Sorry i searched everything and found nothing, just wondering does the model 12 FV come with a metal trigger guard or is it molded with the stock?

Mine came with a metal trigger guard, though it was a couple years ago and may have changed.

I made the long 40 mile trek into town today and found out that the only savages that have it molded into the stock is the Axis.

you also wont be able to put that axis action in any other stock so remember that too. my 10fcp hs has a metal one. its not plastic i know that

Im officially getting a 12 FV in .204 ruger and i know the 204 is not a long range gun i dont CARE.

The trigger guard that came with my model 12 action was steel, as is the guard on my 10FCP-HS.

All of my Savage's came with metal. But I did have a NEW Stevens just this year that came with a plastic one. Not molded on, it was a screw on plastic exact same shape of the Savage metal ones.

My savage was a 12FV with a steel trigger guard, but like I said that was a couple years ago. So they at least did at one time.

If it comes with a plastic one just replace with a steel or stainless one. they're pretty cheap and savage will sell you one as well as midway and probably many other places.
